I arrived on the most populated island of Indonesia – Java in early September by ferry from Sumatra. It was included in the price of a bus to Jakarta. I chose the time to visit Java, as it is hot there all year, but in September at least there is little rainfall. Rains occasionally occur, but in general for all types of recreation the month is ideal. You can swim, sunbathe, dive, climb mountains, walk in national parks, go to museums. I remember exactly once came under heavy rain – while visiting the Botanical Garden in Bogor. I was even glad that during the rain and after it the photos turned out beautiful. Waited for him in one of the garden arbors.
I think that the period from April to November is the best for a vacation in Java precisely because of the least amount of precipitation.
In Java you can spend the night in a tent. Some brave people do this, but I did not experiment. There is also a free overnight stay at meetings with local residents (hospitality sites to help!) And in mosques. Continue reading
Goa our family loves for a long time and unquestioningly. And now, we went to this amazing country for a piece of shanti, the warmest sea, endless beaches, fruits and smiling Indians. February for a vacation in Goa is just wonderful, everything is as written – the heat, the sun, the weather meets expectations, everything blooms and smells. In fact, in Goa, good weather persists until the month of May, then there may be heavy rains. We were lucky – there was never a rain.
When visiting Goa, we always choose Cavelossim as our location, we have many friends there, there is a Russian restaurant with a wonderful hostess, Julia. The beaches are sandy and very comfortable, you can find a nook and relax at your pleasure. The apartments were rented in a familiar place near the Sal river, here is the view from the window:

We arranged a bachelorette party with a friend and went to conquer the Russian corner in Indian Goa – we flew to Morjim. I decided to write, while my impressions of the trip are still fresh.
Why Russian? Because it is true that Russian language is heard on every corner, compatriots walk around, and restaurants and cafes bear Russian names. “Christmas trees,” for example. Well, where are the Christmas trees in Goa? 🙂 But this did not upset us at all, but, on the contrary, even allowed us to adapt better.
The weather was gorgeous – 35-37 C, the water in the sea – 28 C, there was no rain. In my opinion, February is the perfect time to relax. We lived in a small two-star hotel “Nifa”. A great option for not the most fastidious tourists 200 meters from the beach. Yes, I think it’s better and not necessary – this is India. Here you need to feel the color. Continue reading
