Family holidays in January in Nha Trang
It’s not often possible to get out to rest in the winter, but it coincided here that I was just planning a small anniversary, and my husband decided to give me such a birthday present. Therefore, we flew to Vietnam from January 17 to 28. Speaking of family vacations, I’ll say right away that we are a young couple without children, so my story will be a little with a youth bias.)
It’s hard for me to say whether this is the right time for a beach holiday, since we were in Vietnam for the first time. The air temperature did not drop below 23 ° C, the sea temperature – 24 ° C. It rained a couple of hours a day, but they suddenly began, they also quickly ended. The hardest thing for me was from high humidity – I wanted to change clothes every hour. But this did not overshadow our vacation.) We are on the sea!
Nha Trang, which has become our haven for 12 days, I consider it an ideal place specifically for youth recreation, well, or a family one like ours. All hotels in the city are mainly high-rise buildings without their own territory, pools, if any, are small and on the roof. So there is nothing much to entertain children. We stayed at the Copac 3 * hotel. Small hotel in the city center, next to the European quarter with bars, restaurants and clubs. It may seem to someone 500 meters far from the beach, but this did not bother us. Breakfast was excellent, the air conditioning in the room worked fine, cleaned well and towels changed every day. What else is needed?
Three blocks from our hotel was a market where we could buy fresh fruit. In Nha Trang, the best food is fruits and seafood. Bananas cost about $ 0.4 / kg, mangosteen – $ 0.8 / kg, passion fruit – $ 0.7 / kg. And for delicious Vietnamese rum, we went to the Alco house store. In general, the city, by our standards, has very low food prices. You can have a good dinner with alcohol in a cafe for $ 7-10 per person. And it will be perfectly cooked fresh seafood. We also recommend trying the local Pho soup.
As for the beaches in Nha Trang. They are very clean with fine golden sand. Nice to walk barefoot. All are free to visit, but umbrellas and deck chairs are paid – from $ 2 to $ 5, depending on the place. And if you can bargain, you can bring down the price and up to $ 1.) The main city beach stretches for a distance of 7 km. It has all the necessary infrastructure, many cafes and bars, various water sports, massage.
And we also liked the beach at the Russian restaurant “Gorky Park”. Its advantage is that there is a swimming pool in which you can escape from sea waves. The waves in the sea were strong, so if you are not swimming very much, it is better to choose another time to relax. And we liked it, we jumped on them. And you could practice kitesurfing. Due to the waves, the water may seem dirty. But it is just muddy, and even if some algae was carried to the beach, they were immediately removed.
But not only the beaches are beautiful city. There are many attractions and interesting places that can not be ignored. One of the most beautiful temples in Vietnam is located in Nha Trang. This is the Cathedral of St. Mary. And also a must see the main Buddhist temple Pagoda Long Sean. Very beautiful bright temple surrounded by exotic vegetation. A high staircase leads to the temple, on top of which there is a viewing platform and a huge Buddha statue. Well, of course, you can’t be in Nha Trang and not get into Winperl. A huge park with rides, an aquarium, a water park, a castle and various shows. You must definitely allocate a day of rest and visit here. Moreover, the path to the park lies along the world’s longest cable car, which offers a wonderful view.
Holidays in Nha Trang we really liked. And for ourselves, we decided that we would definitely return to Vietnam again. It may be a different time and a different city, but the beautiful nature and Buddhist temples create an atmosphere of calm and tranquility, which is so lacking in urban life.
